Biography
Getahun Bore Wolancho was born in February 23, 1990 E.C. He attended primary, secondary, and high school education at Loma Bale Senior Secondary School and preparatory education at Waka Senior Secondary and Preparatory School between 1997 and 2008. After successfully passing the Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE), he then joined Jimma University and studied undergraduate education between 2008 and 2011 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Plant Sciences in June 09, 2011. Soon after his graduation, he was employed by the Ministry of Education as a graduate assistant at Debre Markos University. Then, he was transferred to Mada Walabu University and worked there until he left for Haramaya University in September 2012 to pursue his graduate studies in soil sciences.
After completion of his study, he returned back to Mada Walabu University and served as a lecturer there. Then, he transferred to Wolaita Sodo University and served as a lecturer and researcher. He also served in the position of Student Dean of the Dawro Tarcha Campus, Wolaita Sodo University, from September 2018 to April 2020 E.C. He has published 4 articles in different reputable and peer-reviewed journals. Currently, he is serving as Dean for Academic Affairs of the campus. He is an assistant professor of soil sciences and engaged in different research and community service activities of the highest benefit to the society. Current address : Dawro, Tarcha
