Educational Background:-

  • Completed secondary school from Waka senior secondary school (march 19 98 G.C), junior secondary from Waka junior secondary (May 1993 G.C) & elementary school from Yemala Boka elementary (June 1991 G.C).
  • Graduated from Jimma University in October 2014 G.C. with very great distinctions and received pin awards.
  • Graduated from Dilla University in M.A. August 2020 G.C. excellent (4.0) distinctions

Qualifications: –

  • 2014 G.C B.A in Educational Planning and Management, Jimma University: Ethiopia.
  • 2016/17 G.C Post Graduate Certificate in Primary School Supervision/PGCPSS, Jimma University: Ethiopia.
  • 2020 G.C-M.A. in Educational Leadership and Management: Dilla University

Job Experience: –

  1. Thought in different schools (July 1991-Febreuary 2001 E.C.) of Konta zone.
  2. Primary school supervisor from March 2001- December 30, 2009 E.C and 4 times (2002, 2004, 2006 & 2007 E.C) Top performer& medals award receiver in those years.
  3. Head of societal sectors (Education, Health and Workers & Social Affairs) Institution Office (January 1/2009-Decembere 30, 2010 E.C.) in Dawro zone Tarcha Town Administration.
  4. Expert: Directorate of T/ S/L/ professional licensing and re-licensing , Dawro zone education department.
  5. Currently working as Teachers and School Leaders Professional Licensing and Re-Licensing Directorate Director of Southwest Ethiopian Peoples Regional State Education Bureau.

Afework is an open-minded person who is highly interested in free discussions with friends, colleagues, and any willing individuals on various academic, social, political, and other burning issues. He also enjoys reading scholarly books and journal articles, newspapers, magazines, and the Bible. Working toward the overall betterment of the general society and helping other people are among his highly valued concerns.

    Finally, as a member of the executive committee board of the Dawro Intellectuals and Partners Association (DaIPA), he has no reservation about working hard toward the realization of the DIPA’s vision. He is fully enthusiastic and interested in investing his knowledge, skills, energy, and time to the maximum level to the cause of this association.
